Track lighting was installed on the closet's vaulted ceiling to provide an effective and functional lighting solution. There is ample room for additional storage above the cabinetry, such as the stylish and tidy storage baskets. Custom cabinetry features maximize the storage space in the new closet, which include a hidden jewelry drawer, a linen closet, pull-out pants hanger, and cubbies over the sliding doors. Soft-close cabinet hinges and blu-motion slides were installed. The cabinetry is done in a charcoal stain with satin finish lacquer.

Selection is shaker style doors and drawer fronts, drawers are dovetailed solid maple.

Upper towers are a chocolate pearwood melamine with acid-etched glass. The custom cabinetry is European style with premium hard rock maple melamine boxes. The existing closet in the master bedroom was removed to create more room for the master bed, and extra cabinetry was installed on the wall on either side of the newly installed pocket doors. Pocket doors were installed between the spaces to create separation. The front door is used as the main entry.The wall was removed between the master bedroom and adjacent room to create the large walk-in closet area. What attracted us to this home was the floor plan and that we could mostly live in one half (master, family and kitchen) and then open or close off the 2nd half. We do have interstate visitors and when family visit it is usually a pretty big affair. My 22 year old daughter is in the self contained unit. So currently it is just my husband and I in the home. So once the rumpus room is done it will be a great entertaining space both indoor and outdoor. There is no pergola or covered patio off the meals and rumpus which is good as it lets the natural light in. Off the meals and rumpus there is a detached covered alfresco area with built in BBQ etc. But yes I can see how it may present a problem with flow into the master bedroom. I am not sure how I would furnish the revised living - all I know is I would prefer to have some build in office cabinetry and maybe a couple of single chairs or 1 sofa. All furnishings in this space are available through Martha OHara Interiors. I do intend to go with lighter cabinet cupboards as I am not a fan of dark tones in the kitchen. This master bedroom suite includes an interior hallway leading from the bedroom to either the master bathroom or the greater second-floor area. I don't find the kitchen too dark currently even though it has dark cabinetry, the window is lovely and wide and lets lot of sunlight in.

Then after that we will eventually update the laundry and main bathroom. I anticipate the above will be done over 2 years. ensuite window size - will have to get back to you. bedroom 2 is currently used as an office This will also provide some privacy to the master bedroom. This gets incredible north sun so is beautiful to sit in winter and read. There will be no media in this room as we have the rumpus and family room for that. I intend to put in some built in cabinetry and some seating. the living/dining area will become a sitting room/home office. Phase 4: Sitting room/office, master bedroom ensuite and walk in robe. I love to cook and need plenty of storage space for the preserving of fruits and vegetables etc we produce Currently the noise from the kitchen to the master bedroom is not great. Expansion will take some space from the living/dining area Expand kitchen to include large walk in pantry/butlers and island bench - more of a farmhouse/country kitchen.

Plus we have a huge barn shed on the property as well for storage.

The garage is huge and we will have enough space after the conversion to still fit 2 cars easily. Add a bar and wine cellar to rumpus room by using part of the garage.

We also have a fully self contained one bedroom unit. We are currently looking fro a draughtsman/architect etc to bring it all together (any recommendations?) I did forget to mention that we are on 10 acres just outside of Canberra.
